Rutger Bregman (Utopia for Realists) speaks at the RSA about how our perception of humanity limits the ideas we think are possible. In this short video extract of his longer talk he describes how in many ways our lives have never been better, and asks so where do we go from here?
As a historian and author he argues that without utopian ideas many of the steps to a better world would never have been possible. In some ways this comes down to belief, belief in the idea that human beings are often innately good.
